Coastal TVET College Online Registration 2024-2025 How to apply online at Coastal TVET college?
This college is a merger of the former Durban Technical College, Swinton Road Technical College and Umlazi Technical College. It includes former Umbumbulu and Appelsbosch Colleges of Education. It is the largest College in KwaZulu-Natal, currently averaging about 15 000 full time equivalents and about 800 staff members. Prospective students who are preparing to apply to Coastal college for the 2024-2025 academic year should start from January 2024. Late applications may not be considered, therefore, applicants are to submit their applications within the application period.
Registration Process For Returning Students at Coastal TVET College(How to apply online at Coastal TVET college?)
- All returning students should collect their examination results at their campuses in January.
- All qualifying students undergo NSFAS application process.
- All students who meet the progression criteria (as indicated in paragraph 5 below) will register in their respective levels.
Admission Requirement for new applicants in Coastal TVET College
**Admission standards for new applicants for Nated (report 191) courses:
- An applicant who endeavour to enrol for report 191 business studies must pass either NCV level 4 or have obtained a national senior certificate (matric).
- Students who endeavor to enrol for report 191 engineering studies must have passed at least grade 10 to grade 12 mathematics.
- Please note that electrical engineering students may on applying for employment be required to pass a colour competency test.
**Admission standards for new applicants for national certificate vocational (NCV)
- Students who endeavor to enrol for NCV level 2 business and general studies programs must have completed and passed grades 10-11 and grade 12 with mathematics.
- The applicant who endeavors to enrol for NCV level 2 all engineering studies must have completed and passed a minimum of grade 10-11 mathematics.
- Students who endeavor to enrol for NCV level 2 electrical construction may on applying for employment be required to pass a colour competency test
