South West Gauteng TVET College Online Registration 2025-2026

South West Gauteng College is a public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), formerly, FET College, operating under the support of the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) in terms of the Continuing Education and Training Act, Act No.16 of 2006, as amended. The College is accredited by Umalusi and several Sector Education and Training Authorities (Seta’s) to offer education and training, mostly in the FET band (NQF Level 2 to 4). Some programmes are offered in the Higher Education band i.e. the N4 to N6 levels. With over 30,000 registrations, the college is one of the biggest colleges in the country. With its head office located at Molapo Campus, Soweto, and campuses spread through Soweto (3) to Roodepoort (2) to mention just a few including the “LAND IS WEALTH FARM” in Sterkfontein, the College is a real citadel of education and training for communities in its wide catchment area and beyond. The college registration is likely to close in August – September 2025. Therefore, we at the college encourage expected student undergraduates and postgraduates to apply online or paper-based application forms before the deadline.

Entry requirement to South West Gauteng TVET College

A year-end school report for Gr 11 or Gr 12 certificate; or
An NQF Level 1 qualification; or
An approved bridging program designed for the specific purpose of accessing NQF Level 2; or
Candidates must have a Grade 12 (NSC)
New students must register for all 4 subjects in the particular field
The number of registrations in these programs is subject to the approved DHET prescript targets
