Where Can I Re-Write My Matric?

Finishing matric is a big milestone, but not everyone gets the results they hoped for the first time around. If you did not pass or you want to improve your marks, do not worry, you are not alone, and there are many ways to rewrite your matric. Whether you need better results for university admission, job opportunities, or simply for your personal growth, rewriting your matric can open new doors for your future.

In South Africa, there are several options available for those who want to rewrite matric. One of the most common routes is through the Second Chance Matric Programme provided by the Department mapped specifically for learners who have failed or want to improve their subject results. It provides support and resources like study materials, face-to-face classes, and online content to help you prepare for your exams.

You can also register with private colleges and adult learning centers that provide matric rewrite opportunities. These institutions often provide more flexible schedules, which is helpful if you are working or have other commitments. Some well-known colleges include Damelin, Skills Academy, and Oxbridge Academy, among others.

If you are over the age of 21 and looking to complete your matric, you might also consider doing your Amended Senior Certificate (ASC), which is equivalent to the traditional National Senior Certificate (NSC). This option is specifically reshaped for adult learners.
