Soon after the merger, the Council closed the Border Technical College premises and absorbed its Business Studies programmes into the East London Campus and its Engineering Division into St Marks Campus. John Knox Bokwe Campus continued to offer both Business and Engineering Studies Report 191 programmes.

Entry requirement to Buffalo City TVET College

• A year-end school report for Gr 11 or Gr 12 certificate; or
• An NQF Level 1 qualification; or
• An approved bridging program designed for the specific purpose of accessing NQF Level 2; or
• Candidates must have a Grade 12 (NSC)
• New students must enrol for all 4 subjects in the particular field
