Ekurhuleni West Technical, Vocational, Education and Training College (EWC) is a public institution regulated by the FET Colleges Act no 16 of 2006, as amended. It was established in terms of the Further Education and Training Act, Act No .98 of 1998, declared as such by the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Education (Gauteng Province) in terms of a Provincial Gazette Extraordinary (dated 7 December 2001). Ekurhuleni West TVET College is situated in the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality in Gauteng Province in South Africa. EWC operates within a broad band and diverse communities and comprises of the following six (6) campuses: Alberton, Boksburg, Germiston, Kathorus, (in Katlehong/ Vosloorus/ Thokoza), Kempton (in Kempton Park) and Tembisa.
The college admission form for 2024-2025 is opened to all interested applicants irrespective of who they are or where they come from. Interested candidates may apply to any of the Ekurhuleni West TVET College undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, NCV and Nated courses at any time and be admitted subject fulfilling all the college requirement. Application is made through filling the application form online at the college admissions portal.once you submit your form, you must pay the application fee for your form to be processed.

Use this link to apply if you are already an EWC student and are returning to do another semester or trimester.
You are considered to be a new student if:
- You are applying for the first time to Ekurhuleni West TVET College;
- You were not enrolled for any course at Ekurhuleni West TVET College before;
- You did not have an EWC Student number in any previous year.

- Proof of Residence.

You will need the following to complete your NSFAS application:
- Your own cellphone number and email address
- Copy of your ID or birth certificate
- ID copies of parents, guardian or spouse (If applicable)
- Your proof of income
- Your parents, guardian or spouse’s proof of income
- If you are a SASSA grant recipient, no proof of income will be required
- Applicants with a disability must submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure
- An applicant who is recognised as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social
- Development must provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration
and Consent Form
Entry requirement to Ekurhuleni West TVET College
- A year end school report for grade 9,10,11 and 12
- An NQL level 1 qualification
- An approved bridging programmers designed for the specific purpose to access NQF level 2.
- A recognition of prior learning assessment to meet basic requirements for access to NQF level 2
- Senior certificate/N3 or grade 12 for N4,N4 FOR N5 & N5 & N6
