Ekurhuleni West Technical, Vocational, Education and Training College (EWC) is a public institution regulated by the FET Colleges Act no 16 of 2006, as amended. It was established in terms of the Further Education and Training Act, Act No .98 of 1998, declared as such by the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Education (Gauteng Province) in terms of a Provincial Gazette Extraordinary (dated 7 December 2001). Ekurhuleni West TVET College is situated in the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality in Gauteng Province in South Africa. EWC operates within broadband and diverse communities and comprises the following six (6) campuses: Alberton, Boksburg, Germiston, Kathorus, (in Katlehong/ Vosloorus/ Thokoza), Kempton (in Kempton Park) and Tembisa.
The college admission form for 2025-2026 is open to all interested applicants irrespective of who they are or where they come from. Interested applicants may apply to any of the Ekurhuleni West TVET College undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, NCV, and Nated courses at any time and be admitted to subjects fulfilling all the college requirements. Application is made by filling out the application form online at the college admissions portal. once you submit your form, you must pay the application fee for your form to be processed.

You are considered to be a new student if:
- You are applying for the first time to Ekurhuleni West TVET College;
- You were not registered for any course at Ekurhuleni West TVET College before;
- You did not have an EWC Student number in any previous year.

- Certified Results
- Proof of Residence.

You will need the following to complete your NSFAS application:
- Your own cellphone number and email address
- Copy of your ID or birth certificate
- ID copies of parents, guardian, or spouse (If applicable)
- Your proof of income
- Your parents, guardian, or spouse’s proof of income
- If you are a SASSA grant recipient, no proof of income will be required
- Applicants with a disability must submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure
- An applicant who is recognized as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social
- Development must provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration
and Consent Form
Entry requirement to Ekurhuleni West TVET College
- A year-end school report for grades 9,10,11 and 12
- An NQL level 1 qualification
- An approved bridging program designed for the specific purpose of accessing NQF level 2.
- Recognition of prior learning assessment to meet basic requirements for access to NQF level 2
- Senior certificate/N3 or grade 12 for N4,N4 FOR N5 & N5 & N6
