Admission requirement for Port Elizabeth TVET College

** Information communication and technology

Mathematics is compulsory (students or applicants who didn’t study mathematics will not be considered).

**Engineering programmes

1. Mathematics is compulsory.
2. A student with a grade of 12(passed or failed) or equivalent is the preferred applicant.
3. Applicants who passed grades 9, 10 and 11 may be considered subject to the results of the competency test.
4. The student who doesn’t pass the competency test will be referred to an extended programme.

Safety in society;

• No criminal record
• No visible tattoo
• South African citizen
• Not younger than 17years

Reason for transfer to Port Elizabeth TVET College

• Must have a letter to confirm that they have been de-registered at the previous institution.
• A certified copy of the ID
• A report of their academic history on the college letterhead, including internal continuous assessment (ICASS) and integrated summative assessment (ISAT) result.
• A certificate of good conduct from their previous institution of learning.

Take Note: A student may cancel registration within the first 10 days of the commencement of classes. After this date, the student will be held liable for all outstanding class fees. No refunding of class fees will be considered 10 days after the commencement of classes, except in cases of serious illness and/or death.

If you are a South African student;

• A certified copy of the latest school results
• A certified copy of the ID
• Registration fee
• Proof of residence

If your foreign student;

• A certified copy of your school qualification
• A valid study permit until the end of the relevant study period.

In order for an applicant to be certified, he/ she must have obtained at least;

• 40% English first additional language
• 30% Mathematics literacy or mathematics
• 40% Life Orientation
• 50% Each of the four vocational subjects
