South West Gauteng College is a public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), formerly, FET college, operating under the auspices of the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) in terms of the Continuing Education and Training Act, Act No.16 of 2006, as amended. South West Gauteng is committed to acquire a gamut of responsive programmes that are sentient to the changing global and technological factors driving our economy to be accessed through multiple modes of teaching and learning and to be a premier provider of world class vocational education and training to produce competent and proficient citizens. Application Forms 2023
- Hard-copy application forms must be completed using a black pen, with clear printing. You must sign your application form.
- To apply online click HERE
- Applicant should note that the application forms is not the registration form and the registration form will be made available to successful applicants.
- An incomplete application will result in delays in processing
Supporting documentation
- Applicant must know that all applications require supporting documents to be submitted to the College.
- Completed Application forms must be accompanied by the following documents:
- Certified copy of the latest results/qualification
- Certified copy of Identity document
- Attached medical statement from a registered doctor if you have any disability or ongoing medical condition that will require you to seek special assistance from the College,
The College cannot consider your application if all required supporting documentation is not attached.
Application fee
- There is no application fee required.
Submit application
- The applicant must submit the application on by himself or herself in the various campuses.
Acceptance or Non-acceptance letter
- Applicants will be notified of their acceptance or non-acceptance status after two weeks of receiving their applications.

- A minimum requirement is a successful Grade 9 but even better is Grade 10, 11 and Grade 12.
- A year-end school report for Grade 9 or higher
- An NQF Level 1 Qualification
- ABET Level 4
- A Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment to meet the basic requirement for access to NQF Level 2
